Most people spend some additional time cleaning as the weather gets warmer, making sure to pay attention to the areas of your home or garage that are often forgotten the rest of the year. This is also the prime time to spend a little extra time and attention cleaning out your car, inside and out. You will improve the way your Nissan looks, and at the same time – you will be increasing the vehicle’s resale value in case you decide to sell it. Here are some spring cleaning tips for your car from Boston Nissan:
Inside Your Car
If you spend a lot of time in your car, chances are you have a collection of “stuff” floating around inside. Grab a trash back and remove anything that should be in the garbage. Put away other items that may be in your car, like books or CDs or clothing.
Wipe the dashboard and all plastic or vinyl surfaces in the car – you will probably be surprised at just how dirty they are!
Use glass cleaner to clean the inside of your dashboard and windows.
Finally, vacuum the floors and seats thoroughly. If you find any areas that have stains, take your car to the car wash to use the rug steam cleaner to eliminate the stains.
Outside Your Car
Once the inside of your car is clean, it’s time to move on to the outside! You can drive your Nissan through the car wash or dig out the hose and wash it yourself. Either way, you want to make sure to use a protectant car wax after you wash and dry your car to help protect the paint finish. Car wax has been shown to prevent scratches to the paint.
